Partnerships & Collaborations
The VET Development Centre (VDC) works in partnership with a range of organisations, networks and industry stakeholders to strengthen vocational education and training across Australia. Through collaborative initiatives, professional learning opportunities, knowledge-sharing forums and sector engagement activities, these partnerships help foster innovation, build capability and support excellence within the VET sector.
Together with our partners, VDC creates opportunities for educators, practitioners and organisations to connect, learn and share best practice. These collaborations contribute to the continuous improvement of vocational education and training and support positive outcomes for learners, educators, industry and communities.

VDC has a longstanding partnership with the International Specialised Skills Institute (ISS Institute), supporting innovation and knowledge sharing across the VET sector. Through the Illuminate Forum series, Fellowship recipients share international research, emerging trends and insights with vocational education professionals across Australia.

VDC proudly partners with WorldSkills Australia to promote vocational excellence and skills development. This collaboration includes hosting regional information webinars, supporting national competitions and featuring Skillaroos and WorldSkills representatives at the National VET Conference.
VDC works in partnership with the Australian Centre for Career Education (ACCE) to promote lifelong learning and professional engagement across the education sector. The partnership includes moderation support for selected VDC online learning sessions and contributing articles to ACCE journal and publications.
As an Associate Member of TAFE Directors Australia (TDA), VDC maintains strong connections with Australia's public VET sector. This association supports knowledge sharing, sector engagement and awareness of emerging issues and opportunities affecting vocational education and training nationwide.

VDC works with DeafConnectED to support accessible and inclusive learning opportunities within the education sector. Together, we contribute to the development and promotion of resources that support accessibility, awareness and professional learning.

Victorian Provider Network

VDC collaborates with the Victorian Provider Network (VPN) to strengthen connections across the VET sector. Through shared promotion and engagement activities, the partnership supports communication, collaboration and knowledge sharing among training providers.

VDC supports the Victorian Association of TAFE Libraries (VATL) and its commitment to knowledge sharing and professional development across Victoria's TAFE library network. Through ongoing support, including the VATL website, the partnership helps strengthen sector-wide engagement and access to resources.
Australian Council of Deans of Education Vocational Education Group

VDC supports ACDEVEG in promoting collaboration, professional engagement and knowledge sharing across the VET sector. Through the promotion of events and sector initiatives, the partnership helps connect educators, researchers and practitioners to emerging ideas and best practice in vocational education and training.
VDC contributes articles to the Australian TAFE Teacher magazine, published by the Australian Education Union (AEU), helping share professional learning initiatives, sector insights and examples of innovative practice with the broader VET community.
VDC collaborates nationally with a diverse range of government agencies and industry organisations (such as, but not limited to, NCVER, VTA, DEWR, ACFE) together with employers, professional associations and subject matter experts throughout the year. These valuable partnerships and bespoke customised arrangements enhance professional learning opportunities, share expertise and support positive outcomes across the VET sector.
VDC works with sponsors, exhibitors and industry partners to deliver the VET National teaching & Learning Conference, Australia's leading professional learning event for VET practitioners. These partnerships bring diverse perspectives, innovative solutions and valuable sector insights to conference delegates each year.
