Gina Chinnery

Associate Director, Employment & Education Partnerships

Gina Chinnery is the Associate Director of Employment & Education Partnerships at Orygen and oversees a team developing and implementing innovative projects focussed on improving employment and educational outcomes for young people locally, nationally and internationally. Gina has worked in the field of youth mental health and more broadly across the employment services sector for over 20 years.

She has been a key contributor to the development and evaluation of innovative vocational interventions for young people at Orygen including the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model, youth vocational peer work, international student mental health peer work and the online career support platform, YOTES.

In 2018, Gina was awarded an International Specialised Skills Fellowship to investigate vocational peer work and online career interventions in the US and in 2015, was awarded the Career Development Association of Australia (CDAA) Career Practitioner of the Year.
