VDC continues to strengthen its approach to professional learning by delivering programs that respond to the evolving challenges of today’s VET environment. Designed with you in mind, the Semester 2 program offers a broad suite of professional development opportunities, including in-person workshops, virtual workshops, webinars, deep-dive webinars, VET Chats, and VDC eLearns for flexible, self-paced learning.
A key feature of the 2026 Semester 2 program is supporting TAFE, RTOs and community providers as they embed and refine practice under the Revised RTO Standards, now well established across the sector. Twelve months on from implementation, the focus has shifted from transition to consolidation—strengthening self-assurance approaches, embedding quality systems, and demonstrating outcomes in practice. Through workshops and deep-dive webinars, these sessions explore how providers are operationalising the Standards, building sustainable, evidence-informed practices that support continuous improvement.
Further topics span priority areas including Artificial Intelligence, Assessment Essentials, Industry Engagement, Leadership & Management, Mapping & Validation, Quality, Compliance & Auditing, Teaching & Learning Strategies, and Sustainability—ensuring there is something for every VET practitioner, regardless of role or experience.
Keep an eye out for VDC’s upcoming FREE VET Thought Leadership Series, alongside a range of special events and sector-wide conversations designed to inform and inspire practice.
Don’t miss the VET National Teaching & Learning Conference, taking place 13–14 August 2026 at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre, bringing together educators, leaders and practitioners from across Australia for two days of high-impact professional learning and sector connection.
We look forward to seeing you in-person and online throughout Semester 2, or engaging with self-paced and on-demand learning via VDC Learn.
