Overview - 2018
Teaching practice that is effective and meaningful occurs when educators apply new or different teaching approaches, including technologies, curricular development, course design and assessments. The conference will discuss fostering innovation in teaching and learning practices, what part technology plays, the future of teaching, some of the challenges for teachers today, and the key skills teachers need to engage and inspire students. Naturally there is the additional benefit of networking with your peers which makes for an exciting, engaging and informative conference experience.
This event is a highlight of the teaching year, providing the unique opportunity for practitioners to network with peers at the exclusive setting of the RACV Torquay Resort. This is the only conference specifically designed for VET teaching staff.
The Master of Ceremonies for this year's conference is respected VET consultant Wendy Perry. The conference will feature interactive concurrent workshops and motivating keynote presenters from leading educators such as Jason Renshaw, Dr Rich Allen and Dr John Flett. Another highlight of the event is the conference dinner which features entertainment from magician Nick Kay.
