VDC News congratulates Study Melbourne and all of Victoria’s international education providers for their roles in Melbourne being recognised as Australia’s best city for international students in the latest rankings from Quacquarelli Symonds (QS).
“Melbourne ranks as the 5th best student city globally and achieved the highest rating in the “Student Mix” category, which evaluates the diversity of the student population – with 330,000 international students from around 175 countries!”
Melbourne also rated very highly in providing employment and work experience opportunities to students and it ranked 4th for ‘Student Voice’ which measures student experiences of:
- tolerance and inclusion
- diversity
- friendliness
- transport
- affordability
- nightlife
- employment opportunities
- arts and culture, and
- sustainability.
VDC News also congratulates all key Australian cities hosting international students – all of which ranked extremely highly in these important global rankings:
- Sydney (6th)
- Brisbane (26th)
- Adelaide (31st)
- Perth (37th)
- Canberra (38th)
*Darwin was not included in the rankings.
