As the final quarter of 2026 gets underway, many VET practitioners will be reviewing their Professional Development Plans (PDPs) and identifying opportunities to strengthen capability before the year concludes. With the end of the year in sight, now is an ideal time to address outstanding professional development goals, deepen expertise in priority areas and explore contemporary practice that continues to shape teaching, learning and leadership across the VET sector.
VDC’s October professional learning program responds to a range of priorities currently influencing vocational education and training, including artificial intelligence, assessment practice, psychological safety, trauma-informed teaching, communication and supporting neurodivergent staff. Whether the focus is on designing authentic assessment in an AI-enabled environment, creating more inclusive learning and workplace cultures, or strengthening communication and learner support strategies, these sessions offer educators, leaders and professional staff practical opportunities to build capability, explore emerging trends and prepare for the challenges and opportunities of 2027.
