The VET Development Centre 2025 Year in Review is now available from the VDC website. In 2025 the VDC celebrated its twentieth year. The Year in Review highlights the outstanding engagement for our diverse range of professional learning programs.
Throughout 2025 VDC embraced innovation and explored new opportunities to provide professional learning themes for the teaching workforce, with a new focus on Generative Artificial Intelligence, teacher and student wellbeing and sustainability.
The engagement with in-person, online and self-paced professional learning and other thought leadership activities in 2025 continued the outstanding performance of previous years. Since 2012, the VDC has provided 4,900+ programs and events to over 119,000 attendees.
The organisation hosted over 350 events in 2025 to cater for over 11,000 registrants for these sessions and activities. The quality of service provision was evident with an overall participant satisfaction rating of 95% for VDC professional learning achieved. This engagement reflects VDC’s capability for adaption and responsiveness to emerging VET teaching workforce needs in Victoria, across Australia and internationally in Vietnam.
The activity and engagement outlined in the Review reflects the VDC vision of being recognised as a centre of excellence for continuing professional learning to the VET workforce.
