Key Program Components

The fellowship program is structured to provide participants with 25+ hours of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) through various activities, including online webinars, reflective mentorship, and participation at the VET National Teaching & Learning Conference. Below are the core elements of the program:

  1. Welcome Session (Held online)
  • To be held Thursday, 06 March, 12:30pm – 12:50pm, this online session will introduce participants to the program and outline expectations for the upcoming learning modules.
  1. Webinar Recordings (Self-paced)
  • The program features five webinars each addressing a specific topic relevant to VET teaching and learning. These webinars are available for on-demand at the beginning of each month for viewing, allowing participants to engage with the content at their own pace. The topics covered are designed to challenge and expand educators’ perspectives.
  • After each webinar, participants will complete reflective questions to deepen their learning via VDC-Learn, VDC’s Moodle platform.

  1. Group Mentorship Sessions (Held online)
  • To complement the monthly webinar content, participants will engage in online group mentorship sessions, held 12:30pm – 1:30pm on the fourth Thursday of each month. These sessions provide an opportunity to discuss the topics covered in the webinars, reflect on personal experiences, and share insights with fellow educators. Facilitated by an experienced mentor, these interactive sessions promote collaboration and peer learning.
  1. VET National Teaching & Learning Conference (In-Person)
  • Upon completing the required webinar recordings, reflective questions, and online mentorship sessions, fellows are invited to attend the VDC VET National Teaching & Learning Conference. The Conference, held in-person on the 14 & 15 August at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre, will serve as the culmination of the program. It offers a chance for fellows to engage with industry leaders, learn from experts, and present their newfound knowledge to the broader VET community.
