Applications are now open for the VDC Professional Learning Fellowship 2026. The program offers a comprehensive, high‑impact virtual professional development experience designed to strengthen teaching practice and leadership across Australia’s VET workforce.
This year’s Fellowship continues VDC’s commitment to empowering educators through an immersive, blended model incorporating online learning, mentoring, reflective practice and participation at the VDC’s flagship national conference. The program offers 25+ CPD hours, combining structured learning with flexible, self‑paced components that support deep skills development and real‑world application.
The Welcome Session
Held online on Thursday, 5 March from 12:30pm–1:00pm AEDT, the Welcome Session introduces Fellows to their facilitator, Helen Storr, outlines program expectations, and sets the tone for a supportive and collaborative learning environment. Fellows gain clarity on upcoming milestones, reflective project requirements, and how to maximise their experience in the months ahead.
A Rich Learning Journey Across Five Monthly Webinars
Following the Welcome Session, Fellows gain access to a series of monthly recorded webinars released on the first Thursday of each month:
Each recording is available on VDC’s Moodle platform, VDC‑Learn, enabling on‑demand engagement and self‑paced progress. Fellows then attend the corresponding group mentorship session and complete a guided reflective project—designed to support practical application and deepen learning.
Mentorship to Build Capability and Confidence
Five Group Mentorship Sessions, each held online on the last Thursday of the month from 12:30pm–1:30pm AEDT, provide a space for interactive discussion, reflective practice, and peer-to-peer support. These sessions help Fellows embed insights from the webinars and build stronger connections within the cohort.

Culminating at the VET National Teaching & Learning Conference
Fellows who complete all required components—including webinar recordings, reflective projects, and at least 80% of mentorship sessions—are invited to attend the in‑person 2‑Day VET National Teaching & Learning Conference, held on 13–14 August at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre. Here, Fellows deepen their engagement with national teaching practice, participate in leading education sessions, and receive their Fellowship Certificate.
