On behalf of the Directors of the VDC, it is my pleasure to present the VDC Annual Report for 2017 and the VDC Strategic Plan 2018-2020, both of which are now available on the VDC website.

Building on the successes of 2016, the VDC once again achieved record engagement in its programs in 2017. In total there were almost 8,900 participants for 295 events designed, delivered and/or hosted by the VDC in 2017. The events consisted of Victorian government funded professional development, VDC open access professional learning programs and other customised support services. This represents a 31 percent increase in engagement on what was a previous record year in 2016. The Annual Report is available here.

The Board has identified a new set of strategic goals and an ambitious agenda for building the capability of the VET professional workforce to support the Victorian Government’s Education State Skills First initiatives. Implementation of new strategic plan will enables the VDC to play a key role in driving quality through practice excellence and innovation in VET professional learning for Victoria and nationally. A copy of the VDC Strategic Plan 2018-2020 is available here.
