Delivering Skills for Today and Tomorrow aims to reposition Australia’s VET sector to meet our future skills needs.

The site helps link you to a lot of the big picture stuff, so it’s worth a look.

What’s there?

First, it looks at some of the things the federal government is doing in the VET space. This includes setting up the National Skills Commission, the skills organisation pilots that came out of the Joyce Review and information on VET student loans and ASQA reforms. As regular readers will know we have highlighted a few of these initiatives in earlier articles that you can find in the VDC News archives.

Second, it provides information on supporting apprentices and engaging with VET through industry training hubs, the National Careers Institute and a program of partnership grants they will roll out.

Finally, it provides some details about the Foundation Skills for Your Future program.

We will be highlighting issues with falling apprentice numbers in a post-COVID world next time. Stay tuned!
