Applications are now open for the VET International Practitioner Fellowship provided by The International Specialised Skills (ISS) Institute and the Department of Education (DET), Higher Education and Skills (HES). The fellowship supports Fellows to drive best practice, innovation and to create a lasting impact within the Victorian VET sector. More than ever, Australia needs a skilled community of scholars, teachers, craftspeople, tradespeople, professionals, care workers, innovators, artists, and creatives.

Applications are open between 1 February – 8 April 2022

The HES Fellowship Program focuses on providing support to talented, passionate and innovative education and VET leaders, to identify international best practice, skills acquisition and professional development opportunities in their respective fields, research these and share their learnings and work towards contextualisation, influencing and implementation within the Australian landscape.

VET International Practitioner Fellowships are available to VET practitioners who are employed within Victorian Government contracted Registered Training Organisations (RTOs), including TAFEs, private RTOs and Adult, Community and Further Education (ACFE) Board registered Learn Local Providers.

Those eligible are invited to apply for a Fellowship that will support the continued development of VET delivery with a focus on one of the following priority areas:

  1. Developing quality training with deep and meaningful connections to emerging or ongoing industry needs.
  2. Developing educational approaches that address the gaps between disadvantaged learners and high-quality education and training outcomes.
