Reopening our doors – we’re back!

Wed 30 March | News Archive,VDC News

The VDC 2022 Professional Learning program for Semester 1 is well underway and we have excitedly reopened our doors to in-person workshops as well as continuing our online workshops, webinars, VET Chats and free Thought Leaders sessions.

Register now for upcoming in-person training sessions at our VDC training rooms in Melbourne:

  • Preparing for Audits: Tuesday 3 May (9.00am – 12.00pm)
  • Best Practice Simulation Training in Mental Health: Friday 6 May (9.00am – 12.00pm)
  • Excellence in Customer Service: Tuesday 17 May (9.00am – 4.00pm)
  • Polyvagal Theory for Educators: Wednesday 18 May (9.00am – 4.00pm)

The VDC training rooms are situated in a prime central location, with spectacular views of Melbourne City. In January this year, our multifaced spaces were upgraded with revolutionary ‘Zoom Rooms’ video conferencing technology providing a full collaborative experience for participating in-person or virtually. Ceiling mounted microphones and speakers allow full coverage across the entire room, while 4K LCD screens or ceiling mounted projectors ensure program delivery at the highest quality. Our rooms are also fitted with free Wi-Fi and hearing loops.

As a leader in the development of the vocational education and training sector, the VDC prides itself on delivering quality, professional and relevant programs that are applicable to VET educators, practitioners and other professionals. All sessions are aligned to the Teaching, Assessment, Systems and Compliance, and Industry, Community and Collaboration domains and related capabilities/learning outcomes as prescribed in the VET Practitioner Capability Framework (IBSA 2011).
