Happy New Year and welcome back! For those of you who are new to the VDC, welcome. I hope each of you enjoyed the holiday season, and were able to spend quality time with family and friends. Though it seems that the holiday break is never long enough, I am energised to be back at work and excited about this year.

Changes have been afoot with VDC. Over the holiday break we have undertaken a transformation with our training rooms and our event management system. This has brought numerous challenges that we are addressing. The changes have been more than new logos, tickets or registration process, it has been about our new 2020 vision being “centre of excellence” for continuing professional learning to the VET sector.  We want VDC to reflect our new vision on quality, and professionalism, and something to take us well into the next decade. Work is now underway and continuing, I look forward to updating you throughout 2018.

New professional learning sessions in 2018

Meanwhile, our events team, continue to work hard to bring you relevant professional development opportunities and are continually updating our programs to keep abreast of new and emerging teaching and learning strategies, technology and online delivery, policy and regulation. VDC have a range of new offerings in direct response to changes in compliance and auditing, to help you develop, refine or revive your programs. Our March programs can be viewed here.

Our full 2018 Professional Development Program is available on our website so have a look when you receive email alert or visit VDC professional development page for more information. And if there is something we are not offering that you think we should be, please tell us via email: info@vdc.edu.au. Your feedback is invaluable.
